Objectives

The objectives of the ECDP are to;

  1. Work with a wide range of stakeholders to develop programmes and activities aimed at enhancing the cultural diversity of Arts/Heritage provision across the region in programmes, events, audiences and artists.
  2. Develop the capacity of BME artists and organisations by facilitating access to funding, resources, professional development opportunities and partnerships with mainstream Arts/Heritage organisations.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the development of cultural diversity initiatives across the region.

Strategic Aims

The specific strategic aims of the ECDP are to;

  1. Raise awareness of race equality and cultural diversity within the Arts and Heritage Sector across Essex.
  2. Facilitate capacity building within Arts and Heritage organisations and the BME community and voluntary sector to promote cultural diversity in the Arts and Heritage sector across the Essex.
